First Hindu celebrations

Already in the first 2 weeks in India there has been various Hindu religious days, not always celebrated by everyone since you are free to choose when and which god you devote.

One national holiday was Tuesday April 12th, Ram Navmi which is said to be the start of the sowing season just like in other religions. Mother nature anyhow has the same effect on mankind independant from your confictions..

We have been invited to the celebration of the daughters first birthday of an colleague. Very proud parents have been keeping a Panjib the entire day which ended in a party for relatives and friends. The parties main happening was the cutting of the cake.
